Yankee Stadium Mural
This is a mural I airbrushed about a 2 months ago for a client in his home. The entire wall is hand painted and took about 2 weeks. I anticipated that it would take 2 days but I still got the job done and he was extremely happy with the outcome. Hopefully, I'll get more jobs like this.
I can't find the process photos of how I started it, but when I do I'll post them ASAP.

Mock up in Photoshop.

This is to show how big it is from the ceiling to the floor.

Detail.

First Assignment I was given at Braille Battery. Haven't been working at the company for more than a week and already I got my hands all over the fun stuff.
Shout out to my main hombre Zac Lux with giving me some tid bits on the final draft.

Model Progress
I kind of jumped the gun modeling my character out without making the correct adjustments on paper. Lesson to be learned here: never commit on one idea or design without experimenting because it might not look great in 3d. Therefore, I made the necessary adjustments in Maya to give him more character. The original proportions where too realistic and I wasn't happy with it. Fortunately, I'm heading in the right direction.
(Hate to admit) But at the moment he's looking like a mix between Johnny Bravo, Jimmy Neutron, and the Venture Brothers.

Concept Art
Here's a quick paintover I did for my buddy Jon in my computer animation class. He had some difficulties coming up with a robot design that was both practical and had some attitude. This is what I sent him.

ZBrush Fun
After researching and noticing that a lot of CG companys are switching to digital sculpting to do their models - I've decided to get my hands on ZBrush and a couple Gnomon Workshop DvDs to keep up with the Jones. I don't necessarily look forward to taking up modeling as a career but I do enjoy the problem solving aspect of it and notice the importance of being able to bridge the gap between Art Direction and Animation.
So to jump right into the swing of things, my first model was a skull. It's just a work in progress and there are still some proportion issues but it only took a matter of hours to create.

"Lil' Monsters" Summer Project
This is a new commission I'm going to be working on for the next two weeks that consists of 11 illustrations. The project is a marketing campaign for a summer program here at Ringling College that's targeted to high school students.
My proposal for a theme involved monsters interacting with each other in different scenarios. Here are some quick character designs I've made to get the look and personality of the monsters using only silhouette.

And here are my finalists...

Traditional Animation | Final Character Assignments

I've been behind closed doors working like a beast trying to keep up with the workload at school. My finals were intense, but I still kept my cool even though there wasn't a lot of animation desks to work on. Luckily, I had made my own light table out of some wood and $50 worth of supplies from home depot. I had done some "google" research and came across this useful blog.
Anyway, the my final animation assignments were to create and develop a animal character that was picked by the instructor. I was given a fox and this is what I came up with. Hopefully I'll come back around and tie down them down and maybe even add color. But for education sake, this was good enough for a A in the class so I'm good. Enjoy =)
